Look around you. Have you noticed how neutral colors are SO in fashion now?
I mean, a few years ago, some of us wouldn’t even imagine wearing clothes of neutral colors, and now we can’t imagine NOT wearing them.
Don’t get me wrong – I love the other colors. But neutral colors? Absolute beauty!
But, but, but…styling them may not be one of the easiest things to do. And if you are stuck with this problem; fear not, I am here to rescue you from this misery with fantastic ways that you can pull them off.
Trust me, been there, done that – I know it’s not easy.
1. Go all Neutral
I know many people may think going all neutral may be boring, but dear, oh, dear! Once you go all neutral, there is no going back.
Pick any neutral color – white, black, grey, anything – and you can pick any dress – jumpsuits, pant shirt, maxi – and try it for yourself.
Trust me, you will fall in love with it – absolutely fabulous.
Put on some dark lipstick or throw on dark accessories and shoes to add a bit of color and voila, you are ready to own the whole place.
No matter how old you are, you can pull off neutral colors.
2. Style it The Monochromatic Style!
You know what the best part about colors is? The unlimited shades that each of them comes in.
You know why? Because that gives you a billion more options to choose from. I mean, yeah, it can be a little complicated, but you can pick out your favorite one and wear it.
Since that neutral colors are in fashion, let’s take advantage of that and wear different shades of it.
You can wear a shirt of a lighter shade and opt for the coat of a darker shade – oolala!
Throw in some accessories to fancy it up a little if you think it is too plain.
May I also add how ELEGANT they will look – making it the perfect outfit for office or important meetings. Get that work done while making a fashion statement, girl!
3. Neutral With a Leather Jacket on Top!
Let’s be completely honest here: we all know how amazing leather jackets are. I mean, there is no denying it, they are an absolute icon.
The ultimate women leather jackets can take your outfits from a 4 to a 10 in just a matter of seconds – they are that good. Don’t even TRY to deny it.
Put on your neutral color outfit –whether it be a dress, pant shirt, or a skirt –throw on your leather jacket on top – over your shoulder, or wear it on – you are good to slay now.
Go for bold emo accessories to enhance your look IMMENSELY.
Try it and thank us later. *wink*
4. Go all White
We already know this outfit is going to SLAY.
Get your white shirts, white pants, and white shoes out and put them on RIGHT NOW to make the perfect statement.
If you feel like it is too white, you can add a gold belt, or a green necklace, and voila, it’s perfect now.
5. Go all Black
- You can never go wrong with black.
- Wearing black is a lifestyle.
- If it’s not black, put it back.
Oh, these are what celebrities say about the statement color.
One more quote: “Black is modest and arrogant at the same time. Black is lazy and easy – but mysterious. But above all black says this: ‘I don’t bother you – don’t bother me.’”
So, if you are going for that bold look, black is the color for you.
In case you haven’t figured, black is my personal favorite. Hehe. And why shouldn’t it be? There are just way too many ideas to style it, way too many moods it goes with.
6. Neutral Plus Denim
Denim is one of the few styles that just won’t go out of style – at least that’s what I think. (and want)
Be it white, beige, black, grey – pair it with your denim jeans, or skirt and you have got yourself an outfit for casual wear.
Or, on the other hand, you can match your neutral jeans or skirts with a denim jacket – it goes both ways, guys.
It will be casual yet cute, and that is exactly what we want, isn’t it?
7. Neutral Plus a Pop of Color
If you don’t want to go all neutral, you can add in a bit of color to make it pop.
Add in some bold colors to your neutral ones, and you have yourself a fantastic outfit that you will, without a doubt, fall in love with.
How may you add that color?
It can be through a scarf, your earrings, your jeans, a leather bag, shoes, lipstick or even a colored mascara. Just make sure you do not miss out on a neutral color, or else it defeats the purpose of slaying neutral fashion.
8. Add in Some Pattern or Texture.
There are so, so, so many patterns for you to style with neutral shades. Flowers, animal prints, and so much more.
You can either go for a neutral color dress/shirt with some cute little pattern on it or…
Hang on, there is another option…
Or you can add a separate item that has a pattern.
For example, you get a neutral color dress, and you wear patterned boots. Smart, eh?
Also, a floral pattern is an absolute DELIGHT – we all know that, right? – and so, you can go for them as well.
That’s it, folks
Wow, turns out there are a lot of ways to style neutral colors, right? No wonder they have gotten so famous over time.
Now, off you go to your wardrobe to take out your neutral color outfits and STYLE THEM.
